Ciara Burnham is a board director, investor and operator with a track record of over two decades of success building growth businesses in financial services. She serves as a director and advisor to growth-oriented companies, ranging from early stage fintechs to public companies, and works with organizations focused on ESG, social impact and education. Ciara spent over twenty years as a Senior Managing Director with Evercore, the global investment bank, where she worked broadly across the firm’s businesses. Ciara joined Evercore shortly after its inception and played a significant leadership role in the build-out of the firm’s presence on a global basis. She was the firm’s first woman banker and partner. Ciara has worked with several early stage venture capital firms, advising on fintech investments and consulting with founders. Earlier in her career, Ciara was an equity research analyst with Sanford Bernstein and a consultant with McKinsey in the financial institutions group. Ciara received an A.B. cum laude from Princeton University and an MBA with honors from Columbia Business School, where she received the Beta Gamma Sigma Alumni Award for the highest academic achievement in the graduating class. She serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for EDC (Education Development Center), a leading non-profit working globally in education, healthcare and economic opportunity. Ciara is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Tamer Center for Social Enterprise and the Program for Financial Studies at Columbia Business School.
